Objective:
A storyboard sequence that depicts a character's journey through conflict and moral dilemma, encouraging scrutiny and questioning to foster new perspectives on self and social awareness.
Wukong’s Journey
Moral decay exists in society. Using the Lion Camel Ridge tribulation in the perspective of Wukong, I want to showcase the concept of corruption in society as a whole. In the journey through Wukong’s eyes, even though in the end these demons were taken back by Buddha, his moral compass is conflicted after finding out the truth of how the three demons came to be.
The idea of making one believe that what was done, no matter how cruel, serves a better good and leveraging that to make brutal sacrifices is manipulation. This point of view aims to critically examine how the guise of righteousness can be exploited to rationalize inhumane deeds.

Process
My process includes research, mind mapping, finding references, visual explorations, thumbnail sketches, color thumbnails, and composition explorations. In this process, I kept in mind about character design, dynamism, illustrative style, and lighting.
