Clubhouse Rebrand


Objective:

Brand identity redesign for a re-introduction of the social and audio platform, Clubhouse.

Concept:

Clubhouse is a social platform that gained popularity in 2021 and 2022 for its unique approach to social media. 

My goal to revamp Clubhouse was to create transformations that better appeal to new users. The rebrand underscores the belief that voice is a potent communication tool that cultivates positive impact both online and in the real world. The new mission of Clubhouse is to foster a world where ideas cultivate a positive ripple effect.

Highlights:

Rebranding Clubhouse's identity system, I emphasized voice as a unique communication tool, using connective elements to define visuals and foster a sense of togetherness, making the platform distinct from regular social media by prioritizing audio interactions.

Tagline:


Logo Development:

The logo is an isometric 3D cube that is shaped into the letter “C” and showcases the importance of an open-ended concept, creating the illusion of the read of the “C” being both concave and convex. The animation concept is the idea of a place or a space where a diversity of people can come together, forming a community that creates bonds and connections.


Typography/Texture:


Color Palette:

My brand colors mostly involve colors that are warm and welcoming. The primary colors are hot pink, pale yellow, and dark-warm brown, while the secondary colors are more neutral: teal green and skin-toned pink.


Identity Poster Series:

Brand elements and textures used in identity posters are used to emphasize the versatile graphical interpretations of the brand. The layering and dynamic scale mimick diverse voices, volume, and connection.


Content Poster Series:

Content posters promote various aspects and features of the brand such as shows, podcasts, and special spotlight events. The grayscale treatment of the images creates a sense of cohesiveness and conceptually captures a fun moment in time. The brand’s texture lines emphasize the subject to create a clearer visual hierarchy.


Environmental/Outdoor Mockups:

The goal of outdoor mockups is to spread brand awareness on a larger physical scale in big cities and other appropriate environments that correspond with the core aspects of Clubhouse.


Website, Social Media, and App:

The website, social media, and app interface provide features and interaction between users and also information about current and future social events.
